It's all Peary Beautiful

Again sooooo sorry about the excessive number of photos...well, I guess I'm not too sorry or I wouldn't have put them in...and maybe I should start a blog just about food...it seems that's what interests me most :) ha ha ha...well, it is the staple of life and it is beautiful.  This is the first year I ever canned pears or made pear jam or pearbutter...which is divine...I have to reccommend it to anyone...and it's great not wasting the peelings when you can the pears.

This is my Pearberry jam...it's raspberry/pear...sooooo yummy.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to have Pear Butter, Pearberry/berry blue or Pearberry/raspberry...so I had all 3:)

My first year for making Pearbutter...it's made out of the skins that I peeled off the pears when I canned the fruit...it was awesome not wasting anything...the cores I was able to feed to the chickens...I just love it.

I ended up making more Pearberry Jam the next day...but forgot to get a picture...I ended up with 14 quarts of pears and 30 or more pints of pearberry jam and pearbutter.  I really loved doing pears.
